del Toro Show

That moment when you realize that the thing your granddaughter did to ruin the painting actually sent you in a better direction. Kept you from over-doing like you so often do. I got obsessed with this and couldn't concentrate on anything else until I finished it. For a Guillermo del Toro show I didn't even know I'd said yes to.

New on Watercolor Paper

"Swiss Army Monocle"
Foolin' around with watercolor paper again. There was a beautiful loose state early in the process where I should have left it. Sometimes I just can't stop. Another Spectrum Live piece.

Crowded Stuff

There was a time when I did quite a few of these crowded pieces. When I was a kid I did war drawings in church complete with sound effects. Lots of elbows from dad. A little touch up with these and they sing. I like them.

"Or Robot Boy"
That place where I'm wondering if it's done or not or if I should have gone with my instinct instead of my plan. All in all not bad. Recognize the Robot Boy reference?

Pugs will have their revenge

"Really?" Pugs seem to a particularly favorite target of those who dress up animals. This is another quick diversion as I work on some epic paintings.
