For My Guys

This is an end of semester offering for my students. They all know how much I dislike the word cute uttered during any discussion of artwork in class. In honor of my guys and those discussions here is: "I Fuckin' Hate Cute". Now, outside the classroom cute seems to be a common occurrence in my life. Cute things everywhere. Puppies, kids, mice, birds, and on and on. I have not forbidden the word in my life only in my classroom. So thanks to my students for working so hard and being pretty cool.

    I couldn't help but laugh!! When I was an art student, I was one of the old farts, there were inevitably someone during crit time that used the word "cute!" Most of us would just cringe. I once made a series of cups that were far from cute and of course, one the bimbets said how cute my little cups were. I told her neither I or any of my work hasn't been cute since I was 4 months old!

    I saw that you're in Boise, from your post on the Frank Frazetta thread and had to check out your art. I'm from Rupert originally. Had to say how pleasantly surprised I was to see how damn good you are! I love all the art here. :) I'll keep tabs on ya.
