MICROVISIONS

Every year a few people, Irene Gallo-Dan dos Santos-Greg Manchess, organize a list of artists (like herding cats) who donate 5x7 inch artwork for the Society of Illustrators scholarship fund. I have done it once before and am honored to be chosen to participate again this year. The auction will be on ebay and I will let you know when it comes time. Here is my humble offering with process shots.

I'm going to keep reminding everyone of this opening until every single person in the region stops by on Saturday. Small goals lead to big things.

Boise Weekly Cover

In conjunction with my opening here on March 16 the Boise Weekly has given me the cover this week. I believe there will be an article about me too. Boring, yes, but who knows what juicy secrets
lie within. Come say hi at my opening. I'll post the invite one more time this week.

This is painted for a show at Gallery Nucleus called, "We're not in Kansas anymore". I wish I could have done more. Oz was a childhood favorite for me.

Gallery Nucleus Exhibition

If any of you are in SoCal this weekend please try to get to the opening of what looks to be a great group show. I'm in it with my "Octoplasty" piece. This is a great gallery that does fantastic theme shows.

Newest Commission

This is the newest word catalyst commission. I painted it on copper and the word was simply shiba inu. I think a good title would be "Shiba Armor." Thanks Gregg.

Wow, been too long since a post. I'm not sure anyone still comes here since I have been posting elsewhere like FB but I'll keep putting new stuff up here. Still love my sketchbook so since it's been way too long since I posted sketches here we go.

Holiday Commissions

The holiday commission thing went so well that I thought, because a few said they hoped to get some cash for Christmas, that I would extend for one week (gotta finish some big things). I have two copper squares, 3x3, prepared (the square grid offers examples) which will be $300 each. I can do two or three of the small, 3x4=$200, 4x6-5x7=$300, drawing/paintings on paper (rectangular grid for examples. One or two word catalyst and off we go. 50% on Paypal gets us started, the rest on finish.

Suction Teats

My Merry Christmas post is something commissioned by my daughter's boyfriend for her. The words were medical and climbing, two things close to her.

Turbo

Another example of a small commission gone haywire. I went way overboard again. Supposed to be a small simple copper piece. Turned out to be a small, but bigger than agreed, copper piece that just kept growing in detail. I just can't seem to help it.

Minion Stew

It's a good day when I find a stack of Clayboard among the piles in my studio. I really enjoy experimenting with this surface. I just started sanding and painting and this is what happened.
