Wow, time gets away from me especially when I'm busy. Here is another drawing. I'm working on another painting and don't know whether to wait until it's finished to post or give in progress teasers again. Let me know what you think.

You might recognize these images from a series of drawings about things I saw. I'm continuing the illustration theme and thinking of entering these in a competition as a series. I really like doing stuff like this. Illustration can feed my painting and vice versa.

Fell Asleep

Wow, fell asleep on my blog for a little while. I will never let that happen again, probably. Got sick, you know all of that life stuff. I love illustration. With all of the gallery work I am doing I don't want to lose touch with illustration. This is the start of a series of NY things. I'm going for a visit next year and am pretty excited. Maybe the editor of The New Yorker will see this and put it on the cover.

Spectrum 18 Poster

OK, here it is. Maybe a little underwhelming after all that build up but hey someone will like it. I've also included a few process shots for the really curious. If you really want to be blown away check out the list of jurors for Spectrum 18. It's going to be a barnburner of a time. Wish I were going to be there. A big thanks to all who came out to the opening last night. It was a success. More people than I thought on a Saturday night. Really great to see so many of my students current and former. Current fishing for a grade and former to berate me on what a crappy teacher I was. Seriously, none of that matters because I can retire on what I made last night. See you all in Hawaii. At the Basement

Sorry for the posting delay. I've been getting ready for my show at the Basement Gallery. For those of you in the area there will be a special preview opening on Saturday September 11th from 7-9pm because I am a special preview. The gallery is located at 10th and Main in beautiful downtown Boise. Come by and see me limp around in my new, fashionable boot chatting people up in my own outgoing, charming way. You'll see great wonders: full size narwhal in giant salt water tanks, roaming yak, and even an owner who speaks with an authentic British accent. Well that last bit isn't quite true except the British accent thing. But come anyway and say hi.
